We Bury The Dead (2025) movie
A catastrophic event happens to Tasmania and they send volunteers there to help find and bury the dead. Problem is that same event has somehow made some of the deceased carry on living.kinda. Daisy Ridley's Husband went there and she's determined to find him whether he's regular dead or only mostly dead.
It's a very interesting premise and very much feels like an end of the world movie, even if it's localized to one little island off the bottom of Australia.
It feels like a slow, dramatic rumination on whether our tiny personal dramas really matter anymore if the world is ending. It's very well done and a really compelling watch

Overall it felt like more of a movie about grief itself than a horror movie. Which is fine, but I would have liked to see something more intense like Hereditary if they're doing that.
Plot: Following a catastrophic military disaster in Tasmania that creates the undead, a woman named Ava (Daisy Ridley) joins a "body retrieval unit". Her secret agenda is to find her missing husband, but her search becomes a terrifying journey as she discovers the bodies are not staying dead.
