Wakuu,
I have a very enjoyable safari in Tanzania, but there were a few things that left me a upset that I would like to share as wide as possible with the hopes that it could lead to some pressure for change.
First I was shocked at the excessive presence of traffic police in Tanzania. It is really at a level of harassment and when you spend nearly $10,000 for a tour every minute you lose by these repetitive and pointless stops is valuable wildlife time down the drain. There is one place where the speed limit is posted at 50kms (which I think is around 35 miles per hour) and it goes on forever. There is nothing there, not a house, not a school, just some farms and of course a police officer who has setup a speed trap. Needless to say we were stopped over 20 times on these roads for nothing. I honestly don’t understand how the guides keep their cool.......
