JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Aim-listed African Eagle Resources has increased the resource estimate for the Wamangola deposit, in Tanzania, which forms part of the larger Dutwa nickel prospect in the East African country.
The company said the indicated resource at Wamangola had been raised by 13%, to 55.2-million tons, with a nickel grade of 0.94%.
This contributed to the total estimated resource at the Dutwa nickel project being increased to 107-million tons, at a grade of 0.92%.
The upgrade follows the completion of drilling campaigns at the project's Wamangola and Ngasamo deposits, which were carried out between November 2011 and February this year.
African Eagle says it has, to date, completed a total of 23 255 m of resource drilling at Wamangola.
