Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology, Allegheny College. The Psychology Department invites applications for two one-year (possibly two-year) visiting positions, beginning August, 2010.

Teaching responsibilities are a six course equivalent and include Foundations of Psychology and other introductory level psychology courses in content areas; as well as advanced topics courses or seminars in the candidate’s area of interest.

Current courses offered in psychology at Allegheny College can be perused at http://www.allegheny.edu/academics/psych/. Area of expertise is open. All faculty are expected to participate in delivering college-wide first-year/sophomore seminars that emphasize writing and speaking.

Minimum qualifications are a doctoral degree (or ABD), experience teaching at the undergraduate level, and a demonstrated interest in liberal arts education.
