The front of CNN Center in Atlanta was the scene of violent protests on Friday evening that resulted in damage to the front of the building and inside.
The protesters broke the glass outside the main entrance to CNN's Atlanta headquarters. Apparently the police headquarters is housed in the same building as CNN. This protests was sparked by George Floyd death who died at the hands of the police.
John Hawkins said: "The protests are violent when they happen to CNN, but if it happened to some random business, CNN would be going out of their way to describe it as entirely peaceful."
Marie said: "So, social distancing isn't important anymore. I guess all the democrat states can open up and everyone in the country can go back to work. Burning and destroying things is going to take away from the importance of this matter. The focus will shift towards the violence and destruction being done instead of bringing justice. People I know fail to discuss the importance of justice and instead talk about the destruction."
Angry Michigander said: "CNN helped incite the riots and then they get attacked. Could you imagine if we acted like this every time someone is killed by a person. If each family wanted justice and behaved like this. Everyone life matters. Violence needs to stop."
