US ambassador to Kenya Robert Codec addressing the press at a voter registration centre in Garissa town yesterday.

The US government will offer the IEBC technical support to clean up the voters’ register, Ambassador Robert Godec said yesterday. He spoke in Garissa town after visiting a registration centre. Godec said the clean-up is important to ensure credible polls. “Through voting, Kenyans get to express their hopes,” he said.

what now! the master spy will be given records of all kenyan adults with their faces and finger prints

YEEEEEEEEEEEEES....YESSSSSSSSSSSS YEEEEEEES
Its what I was praying for and I saw it coming, finally we will be having CREDIBLE DATA and fair elections, this will put an end any mistrust, complaints of rigging or any violence.
Mtu akishindwa kweupe hakuna mvutano tena.
We will be moving through elections swiftly and sweetly, we needed this as a country since elections have always impeded our growth rates due to political uncertainties every election period leading to an erosion in investor confidence.

They knew exactly where our main problem lay.

Thanks my beloved MURICA!

They can get that record if they wanted to even without this voter register cleaning exercise.
They had and still have so many ways of getting your bio.
For your info. that embassy in Nairobi has a file for every single Kenyan, nikutaarifu tu leo, hili haulijui.
Even your government doesn't have coherent Births and Deaths data, they always pull out your FILE when you cross paths or have a business with you.
Tatizo lenyu huwa mnafikiri Kenya ni nchi kubwa sana, toka uliko hapo kidogo, machozi yatakutiririka tu!

My only fear on this matter is if at all the Jubilee Government will allow this exercise to happen. The Americans have
offered but in a few days your will hear the regular acolytes yapping about that we are a sovereign nation
yada yada yada....then this crucial matter will be swept under the rags just like that.

It will be another legal battle again, this time maybe supreme court will help.
The law states that elections must be fair and only the clean-up will ensure that.....EVIDENCE IS THERE OF DIRTY REGISTER /DOUBLE REGISTRATION...EASY CASE!

Agreed. That register is not credible at all, after all that we are witnessing.

Kenya is too irrelevant for the US to waste there time collecting data from every single Kenya... even if they wanted to, they wouldnt do it the way you thinking...it takes too much space, what they normaly do if they want the data (illegally) they will collect metadata and not the actual data....once you become a person of interest to them is when they will use the metadata to acquire the actual data from any footprint of you that exist electronically that is accessible remotely... but a case like this iebc issue where they are given free access to go through a whole database, that is when its possible to copy the whole database, its too good an opportunity for them to pass, even if they don't really need it right away

Mr. Knowitall, have you ever worked for the chief of mission at the Department of State?....not necessarily back in your home country but anywhere else in the world?
If yes, what did you observe during your initial recruitment process, during the interviews and after clearance?
I am speaking of what I know kindly cool your knowitall attitude............it's annoying!

Raila is still viewed as a US stooge within the political quarters here. That US offer is perhaps very innocous, but it might be viewed with some suspicion.
US's past alleged involvements in influencing votes in some places might not help matters here.

perhaps you missunderstood me in my first comment when I said we will be allowing the master spy full access to our records...
Any embassy collects information about people entering there country, there finger prints,bio,relatives.... in that sence only, state departments have files(electronic or manual) about every single person that has ever requested servises from them....
but here am talking about spy stuff, collecting info illegally, , the kind that even the state department doesnt have acess to, only a handfull of high ranking staff can sometimes be given access to specific request they make...I would rather we use countries like Israel to do such sensitive stuff, But not spy master US of A...... speaking of which, the NSA does not collect atuall data about a person like me, they just collect metadata....(80% is collected from devices of US technology and software- made or designed in the US its mass surveilance, they have data about everyone and no one at the same time..... but in this case of iebc, we are givving them a free hand to a database with everyone's bio-including fingerprints, its just too good an opportunity for them to pass, they are prob

The fact remains, the voter register, if at all it exists, has to be cleaned up. The anomalies are too glaring.
