A Political Party described as a Communist party includes those that advocate the application of the social principles of Communism through a communist form of the Government. The name originates from the 1848 tract Manifesto of the Community Party by Karl Marx andFriedrich Engels
A Communist party is, at least according to Leninist theory, thevanguard party of the working people whether ruling or non-ruling, but when such a party is in powe ina a specific country the party is said to be the highest authority of thedictatorship of the proletariat Lenin's theories on the role of a communist party were developed as the early 20th-centuryRussian social democracy divided intoBolshevik (meaning "majority") and
Menshevik (meaning "minority") factions.
Vladimir Lenin leader of the Bolsheviks argued that a revolutionary party should be a small vanguard party with a centralized political command and a strict cadre policy; the Menshevik faction, however, argued that the party should be a broad-based mass movement. The Bolshevik party, which eventually became the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, took power in Russia after the October Revolution in 1917.
With the creation of the Communist International, the Leninist concept of party building was copied by emerging communist parties worldwide.
There currently exist hundreds of communist parties throughout the world. Their success rates vary widely: some are growing; others are in decline. In three countries, Republic of Cuba; People Republic of China; and Social Republic of Vietnam, communist parties retain dominance over the state.
The Chinese Communist Party is the world's largest political party, claiming nearly 78 million members at the end of 2009 which constitutes about 5.6% of the total population of mainland China.

Socialism au kwa lugha ya kimataifa unatambulika kama ifuatavyo hapo chini.
Socialism is an economic system in which the means of production are publicly or commonly owned and controlled co-operatively, or a political philosophy advocating such a system. As a form of social organization, socialism is based on co-operative social relations and self-management; relatively equal power-relations and the reduction or elimination of hierarchy in the management of economic and political affairs.
Socialist economies are based upon production for use and the direct allocation of economic inputs to satisfy economic demands and human needs [use value]; accounting is based on physical quantities of resources, some physical magnitude, or a direct measure of labor-time. Goods and services for consumption are distributed through markets, and distribution of income is based on the principle of individual merit/individual contribution.
As a political movement, socialism includes a diverse array of political philosophies, ranging from reformism to revolutionary socialism. State socialist currents of socialism advocate for the nationalism of the means of production, distribution and exchange as a strategy for implementing socialism; while social democrats advocate public control of capital within the framework of a market economy. Libertarian socialist and anarchists reject using the state to build socialism, arguing that socialism will, and must, either arise spontaneously or be built from the bottom up utilizing the strategy of dual power. They promote direct worker-ownership of the means of production alternatively through independent syndicates, workplace democracy, or worker cooperatives.
Socialism ya Lugha ya Mwalimu yaani Ujamaa ni
Socilism like democracy is an attitude of mind. In a sociliast society it is the socialist attitude of mind, and not the rigid adhrence to a standard political pattern, which is needed to ensure that the people care for each other's welfare. Therefore 1962 TANU was officially commited to the building of a socialist society.
In one of his speach Mwalimu addressed more about socailism by saying
"I have said that a millionare can be a good socialist. But a socailist Milionare is a rare phenomenon.Indeed he is almost a contradiction in terms. The appearance of millionares in any society is no proof of its affluence;they can be produced by very poor countries like Tanganyika just as well as by rich countries like the United Stes of America. For it is not efficiency of production, nor the amount of wealth in country, which make millinares;it is the uneven distribution of what proudced. The basic difference between a socialist society and capitalist society does not lie in their methods of producing wealth, but in the way that wealth is distributed........Africadid niot infact produce millionares-for we certainly had enough wealth to create a few.I think they would discover that it was because the organization of traditional african Society -its distribution of wealth it produced-was such there was hardly any room for parasitism...In traditional African society everybody was a worker...But it must be shared. The true socialist may /must not exploit his fellows.''
'Binadamu wote ni ndugu zangu, na Afrika ni moja'If this had been originally put in English, It could have been "I believe in Human brotherhood and unity of Afrika.
