The people of Uganda deserve clarity and confidence in their electoral process. Yet, as of now, the official results of the 2026 elections have not been declared.

📌 This delay raises serious questions about transparency, accountability, and respect for democratic principles.

🕊️ LEGITIMACY WARNING ⚠️

Ugandans also wish to clarify & inform in General that,

a) No one will be held responsible for the illegitimate government’s reckless borrowing and misuse of funds, regardless of the reasons given. These unnecessary loans will not be accounted for in the future.

b) All foreign governments, international organizations, and world leaders who collaborate with or support Uganda’s illegitimate government are complicit in oppression. They are regarded as part of the machinery of injustice and, in particular, as the nation’s worst enemies.

Citizens, civil society, and international observers are calling for:

• Immediate publication of verified results.
• Clear communication from the Electoral Commission.
• Assurance that the process reflects the will of the people.

🇺🇬 Uganda’s democracy depends on trust. Without timely and transparent results, that trust is at risk.

⚠️ The people of Uganda went to the polls with hope, determination, and faith in democracy. Yet months have passed, and the Electoral Commission led by Mr. Simon Byabakama has failed to declare the official results. This silence is unacceptable.

Ugandans deserve:

• 📢 Immediate release of verified election results.
• 🕊️ Transparency and accountability from the Electoral Commission.
• ✍️ Assurance that every vote has been counted and respected.

Democracy cannot survive in the shadows. The delay undermines public trust and risks eroding the very foundation of our nation’s future.

We call on civil society, media, and citizens to demand clarity. Uganda’s voice must be heard, and the will of the people must not be silenced.

Since January, Uganda’s Electoral Commission has failed to publish full results.
Opposition voices like Bobi Wine(@HEBobiwine) continue to demand transparency, but the silence is deafening.

Is this a deliberate attempt to suppress democracy, or simply incompetence?
I believe it undermines trust in the system and fuels frustration among citizens.
But I’d like to hear from others:

• Does this silence weaken Uganda’s democracy?
• How should ordinary Ugandans respond?
