The Uganda Electoral Commission brakes silence and updates the official Website although it's unfortunate that presidential election results still missing 💔

📌 This delay raises serious questions about transparency, accountability, and respect for democratic principles.

For over seven months, the commission failed to provide the Declaration forms on which they based to announce Yoweri Museveni as the winner of 2026 general elections in Uganda!

Therfore we continue to demand immediate release of the presidential tallies per polling stations to prove transparency of the process as per the constitution of the Republic of Uganda in addition to accountability for the the delay

IN VIDEO - 11 presidential results missing in Makeni after alleged theft

Stakeholders in Makeni Constituency are assisting polling officials to establish the extent of missing election results following an attack in which unidentified people allegedly stole results from several polling stations.

The incident is reported to have occurred around 20:00 hours last night, disrupting the collation of results in the constituency.

According to the Makeni Constituency Returning Officer, presidential results from 92 of the constituency’s 103 polling stations have so far been tabulated, leaving results from 11 polling stations unaccounted for.

Electoral stakeholders are now working with polling officials to determine which results are missing and establish the way forward.

Stakeholders have since condemned the incident, raising concern over its potential impact on the integrity and completion of the results collation process. #ZambiaDecides #ZambiaVotes

Setting ground for arrest?

President Hakainde Hichilema's Zambian government now links the opposition presidential candidate Brian Mundubile to an alleged armed insurrection plot, after authorities said he was found at the scene where "high-grade military weapons", ammunition and other materials allegedly intended for an armed insurrection were seized.

At least 10 senior figures in Mundubile’s political camp have been arrested, including his spokesperson George Chisanga and Patrick Mwansa, the husband of former President Edgar Lungu’s daughter. The government alleges that they worked with foreign nationals and had plans to establish illegal military training camps.

On Saturday, Mundubile stated that “heavily armed personnel believed to be members of the Zambia National Army” came to his residence in what he described as an attempt on his life, saying shots were fired, his home was invaded and his family was terrorised.

He had alleged that the military was being used to manipulate the outcome in favour of President Hichilema, who is seeking reelection.

Hours later, the electoral commission suspended vote counting, citing theft of marked ballot papers and violence against its officials without giving clear details. Opposition figures read this, abrupt suspension and swift resumption of counting, as a ploy to influence the presidential result.

Earlier, the security forces arrested and detained three of Mundubile's Tonse Alliance security officials, Victor Muziamba, Dixon Tembo and Gideon Kalopa, after they returned from Russia, where the alliance says they had undergone VVIP security training to protect him against threats, rejecting allegations that the three were trained to disrupt Zambia’s elections or engage in treasonous activities.

In #Zambia, today is the last day for opposition leader Brian Mundubile to file a presidential election petition challenging President Hakainde Hichilema's victory.

But in an unprecedented move, courts across the country have been ordered to shut down for 'security reasons". Workers have been instructed to stay away from their workstations.

The Zambian Army and police trucks are currently deployed to barricade the Constitutional Court of Zambia in the capital, Lusaka.
