Government is set to relaunch the Express Penalty System(EPS) and Fine Issuance System(FIS) following a public outcry motorists that caused it to be suspended.

According to an article in the Nile Post, The governmnet under the Ministry of Works and Transport is set to begin fresh consultations with transport stakeholders across the country scheduled for mid march 2026 a move intended to address comcerns by motorists and other road users once the system is reinstated

It should be noted that the EPS and FIS were first rolled out in May 2025 a move hy government to reduce road crashes .

However after its launch, the program sparked a wide spread complaints from motorists who raised multiple questions a move that caused the president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to Suspend the system and subject it for further review.

Waaaaa it won't work out, the system will always have inconsistencies, it's just a money londering venture
