it reaffirms kenya's position in east africa and the broader African region...Kenya is perhaps the most important country in east africa when it comes to global peace, security and trade...you speak to the kenyan president, there's no need of speaking to any other, you've already spoken to the entire region (east and central africa)

Money moves. Shows who's more important around here. It might not add anything to our economy, but it is as a consequence of our economy being largest in the region.
We are no longer in coldwar era, A visit to by kenya to newyork does not make russia feel as if their circle of influence is waning.Few countries actualy care about such hollow visits and their persieved political effects
If there is no economic deal being signed, its just a trip to "see" america

It's not about cold war. It just shows US and the world recognizes who calls the shots in East Africa.
In short what we've been trying to tell you here on JF.

But anyway, presidents don't just meet each other over tea. There are discussions and talks centered on several things. Your work from home emperor would not know this.
