Time for AU to stop Boko Haram, FDLR etc by force
One the aims of the African union are to promote peace, security and stability in Africa but why is the AU not doing enough to stop these violent conflicts in Africa.
How many crimes do we have to see from Boko Haram for the AU to interfere and stop them? Why not intervene in Nigeria by force and stop Boko Haram Islamic extremists instead of waiting for more foreign interventions and only end up complaining of neo-colonialism?
Nigeria is not able to defeat Bokoharam on its own and AU is opposed to foreign intervention to African conflicts. AU was opposed to foreign intervention in Libya.
But instead of complaining, may be it time for AU to take serious action when terror groups like Boko Haram arise, even if AU is invited to do so. Not waiting too long and complain when someone else does the job.
That is also true with FDLR in congo and Al-shabab in Somalia, and many other conflicts..
