Soldiers, nurses, teachers pay up
President Yoweri Museveni has promised nurses and teachers a salary increment in the next financial year.
Others who will benefit from a pay rise are soldiers and other security personnel.
The President said due to the nature of their work, they deserved the increment.
He added that the Government had the capacity to take care of its employees, adding that it had hit a tax collection base of sh5,000b.
Recently, the Government announced that teachers in hard-to-reach districts will receive a hardship allowance amounting to about sh60,000.
