Baghdatis and Nadal shake hands at the end of their clash, which lasted just over two hours
Cypriot Baghdatis, who had a fairytale run to reach the final in 2006, saved two match points but Nadal closed out the match in style with a forehand cross-court winner to raise a huge roar from the terraces.
Nadal will play Germany's Alexander Zverev in the next round.

Earlier on Thursday, Novak Djokovic had suffered a shock exit at the hands of Denis Istomin.

Sometimes she called out to herself but she remained calm and collected to eventually win

Injuries zilimuandama sana miaka 2-3 iliyopita, Akiwa mzima kabisa only Djokovic can stay with him

I agree with u.

Naona siku hizi yamenipita mbali.

Haha, kama unataka kuona Agassi na Sampras match zao lazima zitakua History channel, at least Martina Hingis still plays double matches.

Rafael Nadal reached the Australian Open final
after his victory during Friday's action

The iconic Spanish star came through a bruising five-set encounter with Grigor Dimitrov on Friday afternoon to secure a place in the last two, his first Grand Slam final since the French Open in 2014.

Kingdom yake tunaisubiri "Roland Garos"

Its unfair to say that, Nadal has won everywhere, as a matter of fact, if he wins tomorrow, he'll become the only player in history to win at least two Grand slams in each of the 4 slams. If he wins tomorrow he'll have 15 Grand slam singles titles and based on his clay court dominance, he will have a greater chance to win Roland Garros as well so by the end of this year he might have 16 Grand slams, only 1 less than Federer going into next year. He'll have a 10-2 record vs Federer in Grand slam finals, Federer's only edge vs Rafa is on Grass at Wimbledon where he leads 2-1.
