TBC: No sensitivity to faith?

THIS CORPORATION funded by the taxpayers' money seems to be ignoring at its own and national peril that there are matters that should not be broadcasted by the station.

One such case is its Burudani programme co-hosted by Mussa and Liss. Not sure whether this Mussa is a Moslem or just a name.

His appearance, plaited hair and feminish touch, leave a lot to be desired as a Moslem. A real moslem who knows about the Holy Quran and its fundamental teachings.

Again the choice of music inlcluding the one called Ustadh Juma... seems to say the least... only a thing that can be done by a NOn-Moslem who does not know the respect attached to the name.

Besides the song under question has half-naked, buttock gyrating women and men and the stage is a Bar and most highlighted products are beer, whisky and other hard drinks?

Is this really something that should be seen on Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation channel. Or are the bosses of TBC as insensitive to other people's faith even more than private television owners. What sad times for Tanzania?

Sidhani kama hili linaingia akilini, kuna mengi ya kuongelea kuhusu TBC lakini sio hilo. Content za matangazo ya TBC zinareflect jamii yetu. Tuheshimu kuwa jamii yetu si ya wakristo na waislamu tu, si lazima kuwa watu wa dini hizi mbili waheshimiwe kuliko wengine. Kuna choice nyingi tu, kama ukiona TBC haiendani na maadili ya kidini switch to DTV au hata al jazeera. Tusiwalaumu watu wanaotuonesha sura ya jamii yetu kwa fikra zetu za kidini, may be i am wrong.

Though not in Tanzania japo siungi mkono kilichotokea lakini lazima tukubali kubadilika na wakati. Japo siungi mkono tabia za vijana wa kiume kujiremba kike kike lazima tukubali Vijana wa sasa haya ndio mambo yao, kutoga masikio, kusuka nywele hata kupendezesha sura zao na makrimu ndio usasa ulivyo.

TBC wanafanya kazi mzuri katika maeneo mengi, Big up for Them.
Pia kinara wa Tido Mhando na timu yake, wanastahili pongezi kwa mageuzi anayoyaendesha TBC.

Kwenye mageuzi yoyote lazima tukubali kuna watakaopendezwa maprochange na kuna watakao chukizwa maconservative. Ili twende mbele we have to swallow the bitter with the sweet. Hiyo program is the bitter to you while its the sweeter kwa mwingine. Naungana na wewe kama kweli amepiga wimbo ofensive kwa imani ya dini fulani, kwaTelevisheni ya taifa hapo sio mahala pake.
