In 2013, Toyota opened a Sh500 million bus assembly plant in Changamwe, Mombasa, with a capacity to produce up to 200 units a month. This was the first plant of its kind set up by the Toyota subsidiary in Africa. They are currently looking to expand their assembly operations in Kenya

And exactly where are the 200 units a month produced since 2013? The wretched 'Matatu' flocking Nairobi streets are hard to miss!

Interesting! Interesting indeed! Somehow you happen to know the output and fail to know, even guess) the market!

So, Kenya being a gateway (huge allegation inflated beyond possible proportions) to East and Central Africa, its very possible for other countries in the area to keep sucking the units out of the production line and somehow Kenya is left with no other choice other than holding onto their dear old wretched imported 'matatus'?

Surely, you can do better than spending time spinning a yarn like that!

Boss at times just think of what you write before sending. Have you ever heard of matatu culture? Kenya is the only country with pimped up commuter buses called matatu...

All the countries in the entire great lakes region including your dear Tanzania all the way up to Congo constitute the market. What part of Kenya being a gate way to the east and central market didn't you understand.
