The Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) is launching a nationwide campaign designed to attract significant investment and fuel economic growth under the visionary leadership of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan. This initiative, spanning 15 key regions across the country, signals the Sixth Phase Government's unwavering commitment to fostering a thriving business environment.

Guided by TIC Chief Executive Officer Mr. Gilead Teri, the campaign focuses on simplifying the investment process for both domestic and international players. Streamlined project registration, reduced customs duties, and attractive investment incentives are key components, paving the way for a smoother and more efficient journey for potential investors. As a result, 2024 has the potential to be a landmark year for Tanzania's economic trajectory.

The past year has already witnessed promising results, with TIC successfully securing $5.6 billion in investment, equivalent to over TZS 10 trillion. This substantial injection into the economy is expected to generate between 50,000 and 100,000 new jobs for Tanzanians, empowering individuals to realize their own entrepreneurial dreams.

President Hassan's dedication to empowering local entrepreneurs is further manifested in the 2022 Investment Act, a key piece of legislation overseen by TIC. This transformative act reduces the minimum capital requirement for domestic investors, effectively removing barriers and inviting more Tanzanians to participate in the country's economic development.

With a comprehensive network of regional offices mirroring a nationwide air traffic control system, TIC ensures investors receive the guidance and support they need throughout their journey, regardless of their location. This extensive infrastructure underscores the Sixth Phase Government's dedication to making Tanzania a welcoming and accessible destination for investment.

Principally, this campaign is more than just a marketing initiative; it is a tangible expression of the Sixth Phase Government's unwavering commitment to transforming Tanzania into a vibrant hub of investment and opportunity. Under President Hassan's leadership and with TIC's expert guidance, Tanzania is poised for an economic take-off, soaring towards a future of prosperity for all.
