Speaker Oboth Oboth has ordered a fresh audit of the stalled Lubowa Hospital project and directed that MPs be allowed to inspect the construction site.
The directive follows a delegation of MPs led by Leader of the Opposition Joel Ssenyonyi being denied access to the site during an attempted inspection, despite having been granted permission by the Minister of Health.
The denial has triggered renewed scrutiny of the project, with the Speaker calling for a fresh audit to establish the project’s status and account for the funds committed to it.
