The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, has reportedly acquired a new Rolls-Royce Cullinan 2025 model valued at about £440,000 (approximately Shs2.2 billion), according to a report by the Weekend Monitor. The luxury SUV was allegedly airlifted from the United Kingdom last month.

Daily Monitor Sources at Entebbe International Airport told the publication that the vehicle was imported by Albeity Limited, a UK-based company previously linked to the procurement of luxury Mercedes-Benz vehicles for Parliament leadership in 2022. After taxes, freight and clearance costs, the total value of the Rolls-Royce is expected to rise to nearly Shs3.4 billion.
Speaking during a conference call that reportedly included Uganda Revenue Authority Commissioner General John Musinguzi Rujoki, Among confirmed ownership of the vehicle but stated that she did not personally buy it.
“It was a birthday gift,” Among reportedly said.
The report notes that the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the company’s first all-wheel-drive luxury SUV and one of the most expensive vehicles in the world. It was not immediately clear whether the gift was for her previous birthday or ahead of her upcoming one later this year.
Among and her husband, Moses Magogo, were sanctioned by both the United Kingdom and the United States in 2024 over allegations related to corruption and abuse of office, accusations they have previously denied.
