Museveni said Uganda-Tanzania pipeline (not S.sudan-ug-tz pipeline) then he said he urged Zambia to join, but then he goes to say I uged s.sudan to revive fineries to develop its oil, (what abt the pipeline?).....

PRESIDENT Lungu yesterday concluded his one-day visit to Uganda after holding high-level bilateral talks with his counterpart Yoweri Museveni at State House, where his host welcomed him with a greeting in Bemba, a sign perhaps of how familiar he is with his guest and Zambia.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba told journalists at Entebbe International Airport that in their closed-door bilateral meeting, President Lungu and President Museveni discussed a number of progressive issues, including the construction of an oil pipeline from Uganda to Indeni Oil Refinery in Ndola on the Copperbelt.

Uganda recently discovered oil but Zambia mainly depends on the Middle East and the Tanzania-Zambia pipeline for its energy needs.

Anyway from hio article umeweka hapo, and also from the tweets, its also looking like UG may not be able to construct a refinery to refine oil for the region after all (once again UG is showing its inability to even carry out agreed projects, the amount of refined petroleum that kenya needs would have been very beneficial to UG peole) the pipeline to Zambia will be heading to a refinery, so that means M7 has forseen that he wont be able to build a refinery and is loking for a fix not to completely disapoint his people..then add that to the tweet that M7 posted urging S.Sudan to revive there refineries.... So that leaves Kenya at the forefront to build a refinery to export refined oil for kenya and the region..... Mind you Ethiopia needs alot of refined oil, and if s.sudan joins kenya inthe pipeline then we could refine lots of it plus that from kenya...mhhh

As a matter of fact Israel may join South Korea and Japan and just to assure u South Sudan will not go to Lamu, Kenya has to return Ilemi triangle to south sudan first!

We had a refinery from the 70s upto 2000s and we dint have any discovered oil.

M7 is always talking about Africans, that they fail themselves, that they don't need anyone, that they should quit the icc when he himself took rebels to icc just the other day...he is one big hypocrite


He has been talking about development since 2005 when the oil was discovered, but since then up to now, absolutely no action has been taken at all. The only action that Museveni has done since discovery of oil is buy himself a 0.7$billion set of SU-30 russion 4th Gen fighter jets, money he took without his parliament approval on the promise that when the oil starts to flow the money will come back...since then even the fighter jets are hardly ever used in action since they are too expensive to fly (the require about 17,000 $ per 1 flight hour).... That pipeline deal of yours is a lucky case that total is ready to do everything... But until things start moving on the ground, you should hold your breath, the Museveni chronicles are hardly ever over
