Hahahaa.....after admitting South Sudan, I don't think the EAC has the authority to talk about institutional reform as a precondition for admission! They have to reform there institutions first before they are admitted to the East African community.
good thing is that they will provide huge market for Kenya's goods .here comes the question of security especially alshabaab

Freedom of worship is my point, and i make reference to the EAC bill of human rights! We should have common standards and understanding/position on human rights. It is a building block to sustainable political and social integrationChristmas.. is your point..!
You would like to potray as if EAC is a Christian club..so Somali being a muslim county does not qualify..
Frank speaking Somali is more to EA compared to Burundi Rwanda and Juba.
Am sure Kenya Uganda will have no objection...Tanzania will mind...other do not care

Somalia plans to re-apply to join the six-member East African Community (EAC) bloc in 2017, the country's ambassador said Sunday.
Somali Ambassador to Kenya Gamal Hassan told journalists in Nairobi that its application in 2016 was postponed as it had not met all the requirements of admission.
"Hopefully our application to join the EAC will receive a positive response during the EAC summit in 2017," Hassan said during the Eastleigh Business Summit, which brought together business people from the Somali business community in Kenya.
EAC partner states include Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and South Sudan.
Hassan said Somalia's membership will help boost trade between Somalia and its EAC neighbors. "It will also help provide employment opportunities for youth in the region," he added.

No....but freedom of worship is. In fact, the draft EAC bill of human and peoples rights states:Wonders will never end from the other side, the question to ask here is, are we Christian Country? Christianity is one of the vital Criteria to be enrolled as member?
Hakuna nchi ya wazungu iliyopiga marufuku Christmas
Pili, hata kama wao ni 98% muslim, wajue kwamba Afika Mashariki ina soko la pamoja linalotoa haki ya raia kuhama na kuishi katika sehemu yoyote ya Afrika Mashariki (Free movement of labor and the rights of establishment and residence). Many East Africans are Christians its a fact. So they should know kwamba if they want to join they need to grant freedom of worship la sivyo wasahau kabisa!
Wewe it seems hujawai kuwa huko kipindi cha Christmas ukajua how it is celebrated!
Hahahahaaaa.......not a whore really....more like that time Sansa Stark was defiled by that Bolton bastard!EAC should be an exclusive club where you are invited, you don't invite yourself then wait for approval... The moment we accepted S.Sudan without placing it in some kind of observer status EAC became a whore
Wewe it seems hujawai kuwa huko kipindi cha Christmas ukajua how it is celebrated!
Hata wakifanya hayo yote they still allow freedom of worship, unlike watu wengine wakiingia wanaimpose their beliefs on others!
Then those countries you mentioned violate EAC principles and need to review their calendars.Ahaaa...then No Eid celebration in Uganda,Burundi Rwanda even Juba
Islamic holidays are only recognized in Tz and Ke.
in Ke they have only one day muslim holiday..in Tz we have 3.
i think this is not an issue..every country has the right to set its holidays.
