The Bible tells us that Esther was a fair and beautiful woman (Est 2:7), whereas Vashti was just a fair woman, but not a beautiful woman (Est 1:11). She was very fair to look at, but not a beautiful woman. In contrast, Esther was not only fair, she was also beautiful.
