Scholarship to honour leader of Tanzania

A NEW Julius Nyerere Scholarship at Edinburgh University will commemorate the life of Tanzania's first president.
In 1949 Julius Nyerere came to Edinburgh University to study history and economics, becoming the first Tanzanian to study in the UK.
In remembrance of the tenth anniversary of his death, the scholarship will fund one Tanzanian each year to complete a masters degree at Edinburgh University.
