Down the memory lane did you ever play those child-playing marbles in your heydays? This game used to sharpen our geometry skills as we tried hard to position ourselves to a point where we would knock the opponent marble and be able to go into the ring. This story isn’t about scams and swindlers but there all over once I watched in news RC (regional commissioner) of a certain upcountry region handling 95 million to three retirees who were scammed by a loan shark, how do these loan shark knock to retiree doors then and scam such easily?
This always starts with the delay in pension payment a retiree with no means to feed his family or will anything approach this man let’s call him Tony (sorry any Tony out there, but this name looks good for a loan shark) this beer bellied young man whom math seems to be a piece of cake to him will come with this calculation that a retiree won’t understand will just nod his head meaning that is into it until comes that part we will give you 10 million at 50% interest and a penalty will be 20% sign here if you agree on this terms then a retiree will agree all hardheartedly as we all agree to those cookies in the websites after that Tony will smile that’s smile which asks do you want the money transferred into your bank account or cash ?
This thing does end up with retiree queuing to DC and RC offices seeking for justice after various attempt trying to rob their life by drinking crushed glass bottles or hang their neck on the fan inside their rooms, it has to be the fan since there ashamed and can’t do that outside to a tree and distract further shadow showering on that tree in future
One will be curious to ask how do people plan their retirement then, if you had a chance to ask 100 retirees or those who are about to retire, 60 of them will tell you this they need fresh air out from the chaos they had lived to for all their working age, a life in village would mean that a few acres in his or her position.
