Sen. Michael Crapo, R.-Idaho, was arrested in Virginia early Sunday morning for driving under the influence, Alexandria police say.

Police spokesman Craig T. Fifer said an officer was on routine patrol when he saw Sen. Crapo's vehicle run a red light. It was stopped at Hume Avenue and Mount Vernon at 12:45 a.m.

Crapo then underwent several field sobriety tests, which he failed, Fifer said in a statement. He was then taken into custody without incident.

UPDATE (9:50 p.m. ET): Crapo has released a statement addressing the incident. From Politico:

"I am deeply sorry for the actions that resulted in this circumstance," Crapo said. "I made a mistake for which I apologize to my family, my Idaho constituents and any others who have put their trust in me. I accept total responsibility and will deal with whatever penalty comes my way in this matter.

"I will also undertake measures to ensure that this circumstance is never repeated."

I wasn't referring to Ted, in contrast, but I have no doubt that CRAPO will be required to forfeit his temple recommend if he has one. Unlike the hypocrites who point their fingers at everybody else while they claim sainthood for themselves.

Crapo is one of the worst.

Yes, they are actually gods. To them even God was once a human like you and me. That is what Mitt Romney believe while baptizing the dead as it is customarily practiced in the Mormon Cult. Do we find that in the infallible Word of God? Nah no, only in the diabolical Mormon book.

This is the 1976 Maine police document recording the arrest of George W. Bush for driving under the influence of alcohol. Bush, who was 30 at the time,was popped over the Labor Day weekend near his family's Kennebunkport summer home. Bush pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor DUI charge, paid a $150 fine, and had his driving privileges briefly revoked in the state of Maine. Andrea Mackris (search), 33, who was a producer on the show, sued the top-rated TV host Oct. 13, alleging O'Reilly made a series of explicit phone calls to her, advised her to use a vibrator and telling her about sexual fantasies involving her.
Earlier that day, O'Reilly, 55, filed a lawsuit accusing Mackris and her lawyer of trying to extort $60 million in "hush money" to make the case quietly go away.
