Rumour:

Toni Kroos is determined to leave Real Madrid this summer and could end up in the Premier League.

That’s according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, who adds that there will be plenty of competition for the playmaker’s signature.

Kroos is believed to be a £40million transfer target for the Man United, who are in dire need of midfield reinforcements.

The Germany international has also apparently been in contact with compatriot Bastian Schweinsteiger over life in the Premier League, and could finally be on his way to Old Trafford after snubbing a move in 2014.

Spanish media also claim that Arsenal have already tabled a bid for Kroos, with a number of players including Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini set to be released by Arsene Wenger.

And Balague believes that Kroos is indeed available, although he predicts that there will be many teams vying to land the 26-year-old despite United leading the race:

"I do believe he wants to leave Real. It will be a fight for anyone to get him, but he would be ideal for Manchester United. There will be a fight for him this summer.”

Real Madrid Castilla 2 - 1 Getafe B

Great comeback from Madrid yesterday, the team we're 1 down by halftime but thankfully Fran Rodriguez came to the rescue with an equaliser early in the 2nd half.

Getafe lost Miguel Munoz soon after when he received a 2nd yellow, Mariano then took advantage of the extra man and struck the winner.

Castilla are still 2nd in Segunda B, but now remain 5 points behind league leaders Barakaldo.

Rumour:

Álvaro Morata's exhibition display in Munich has rekindled Real Madrid's interest in bringing back their former youth team player.

Director of Institutional Relations Emilio Butragueño called the 23-year-old to congratulate him for his performance.

Madrid could exercise their option to buy Morata back between 1 and 15 July (or between the same dates in 2017). The price would depend on how many games Morata has played with Juventus this season.

As it stands, Madrid would need to fork out 30 million euros - as Morata has taken part in over 50% of the team's games (21 out of 40 games - 52.5%).

Morata's market value is soaring. He has attracted attention from the Premier League and also in Germany.

Back in December, he signed a 1 year contract extension with the Italians, taking him to June 2020 also considerably boosted his pay packet to four million euros per season (only Pogba and Buffon earn more at Juventus).

Should Madrid trigger the buy-back clause, they will also be obliged to match his salary. An AS survey revealed that 66% of the participants want the player back playing at the Santiago Bernabeu. [Source AS]
