How RMPS gave the post game analysis:

It was Real Madrid vs APOEL Nicosia in the Uefa Champions League group stage which ended in 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

Real Madrid started with a 4-1-2-1-2 formation meanwhile APOEL started with a 4-4-2 formation. In goal we had Keylor Navas, Defenders were Marcelo, Ramos, Nacho, Carvajal. We had Casemiro, Kovacic and Modric as our defensive midfielders. Isco playing as a CAM and Bale Ronaldo up front.

Asensio out, Varane out and as well as Benzema.
Ronaldo finally getting some game and time and boy does he deliver. He is thirsty for goals this season. There's not much to say other than Real Madrid were dominating throughout the entire game.

Real Madrid had 26 shots while APOEL only had 4 it was a massacre. Around 70% possession while APOEL only had 30%. We also had around a 90% pass succession rate and the most tackles accumulating to 25 tackles in this one game. A dominant 9 corners compared to 1 that APOEL had. The dispossession by both teams was equal and honestly a bit disappointing from us even though we dispossessed them more 15 times comapared to them dispossessing us 14 times.

Sergio Ramos was also the main man today alongside Ronaldo. Kept a clean sheet and scored an over head kick just like that. Sergio Ramos is everywhere. You have to give credit where credit is due. He is a monster when it comes to describing the passion and dedication he has. He hustles he's a workhorse there's no denying that. Kept a clean sheet and was on the halfway line all match.

Cristiano opened the scoring from a Gareth Bale assist! Looks like Bale is also getting into his groove. This was the must needed confidence boost he was desperately trying to get. Isco unfortunately didn't have that great of a game today as he was later subbed off by Ceballos.

Mateo Kovacic also got injured in the process and had to be subbed out for Kroos unfortunately. By the 51st minute Ronaldo makes it 2-0 with a penalty and by the 61st minute 3-0 Sergio Ramos scores an overhead kick with a Bale assist.

There were a few chances that ended up in offside goals unfortunately. Other than that coming from an annoying Levante game this game wasn't all too bad expected to score a lot but 3-0 and cleansheet is great in my books any day.

Our next game is against Real Sociedad in the League without Ronaldo who will be serving his final game ban that day, Marcelo, and Benzema. It will be a very difficult game at the Anoeta and we need all the rest we can get. Unfortunately Kroos couldn't get the desired rest time Zidane gave him today for Kovacic so he will be tired in that game.

Zizou's Post-Match Presser:

"We got a good result, it was important to start well in this competition and we have done just that".

"Today we didn’t get in to it very well, especially the rhythm of the game. We can’t be happy with the first half with the ball. In the second, we injected pace in to it and we got a very good result".

Cristiano
"He’s a key player for us, he’s always there and always scores. I hope it stays that way."

“ I think we’ll see Gareth getting better gradually. I’m happy with how he did, he gave that first assist”.

Kovacic’s injury
“We’ll have a look at it tomorrow. The same niggling injury he had a few days ago came back tonight."
