Benzema has scored on Villarreal's last two visits to the Bernabéu

The Frenchman scored two in the sides' meeting last season.

In Real Madrid's two most recent encounters against Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabéu, Karim Benzema has proved one of the stars of the show, finding the net in both games. The Frenchman produced an outstanding performance last season to claim a brace in a 4-2 win, and in the 2011/12 campaign he got the opener in a 3-0 triumph.

Benzema comes into the fixture fresh from scoring on two consecutive matchdays, against Deportivo and Elche. What's more, his overall goals record now sees him sit level with two Real Madrid legends. With 85 in La Liga, he has equalled Juanito's tally in the competition, while his total of 130 for the club is the same as the number of goals scored by Míchel.
