President Uhuru Kenyatta was received with a 21 guard salute and a full guard of honour when he arrived in Botswana on Monday.
The President arrived at the Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, Gaborone, shortly after 11.00 a.m.
He was received formally by his host, President Ian Khama at the start of the three-day state visit.
During his visit, President Kenyatta will hold meetings with his counterpart to discuss bilateral and regional issues.
Key among the issues the two Presidents will discuss include trade and economic ties between Kenya and the southern African country.
The talk is envisioned to encompass industry, manufacturing, mining and tourism.
The two Heads of State will address the 2nd Botswana–Kenya Business Seminar.
The session aims to exploit existing trade potential between the two countries.
Before returning to Nairobi, President Kenyatta will also address the Kenyans living in Botswana.
