Racial discrimination in international schools

It is scary to see how students/pupils are suffering in silence in the hands of heartless international school staffs whom instead of molding our children to be good future leaders, they plant in them the seed of racial discrimination.

As parents, we choose to take our children to international schools so that they can have an opportunity of getting education for international understanding and appreciate working in harmony -in future- despite various diversities they might face in life.

However, if you find a school staff member calling students/pupils with reference to colour of their skin, regions they come from or nations, (example, “Negros, Chinas, Whites, Browns, Blacks, Africans, Americans, Indians etc) then this staff does not help our children achieve the goal of getting education embedded in the value of equality, but he/she wants our children to grow hating each other along racial line.

Jamii Forum Members, what do you advice parents whose children have suffered and or are still suffering in the hands of these ruthless staff members (most of them are foreigners or in a better sounding term they call them expatriates)?

Definition of Descrimination ...The unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex......
Remember the key word here is TREATMENT...as per your explanation, you have just explained how different pupils from different ethnic groups and nationality are called and or identified ie Indian...Chinese....African...American....Black ....white etc....That is not decriminati on....rather identification....There is no descrimination without unjust treatment.....

Mr What, (but) why would you call or identify someone by their ethnic groups rather than their names? It sounds like a division to a certain degree. It separates us, as human beings.
Wote ni binadamu.

These Ethnic groups was and will always be there....In international schools pupils tends to loose and forget their identities hence reminding them of who they are ... an indian ...Chinese ...African...These are identities and not insults....The most important thing is to recognise the differences...accept that we are all human being and live in harmony.....We can't lie to ourselves and children that we don't see the differences between Indians Africans Chinese ...Whites etc post: 21445900 said:

Na inabidi epeleke malalamiko yake sehemu husika, tena kwa haraka sana bila kujali mtoto atapoteza shule wala nini, asante kwa kutueleza ila apambane kwa manufaa ya mtoto wake na wengine, nchi yake anabaguliwa?! Zuzu, hata huko ulaya wameacha ubaguzi huu wa kijinga, labda wanajuwa wakiyafanya hapa hakuna wakuwajia juu! Bure kabisa..
