Hii ishakua taabu. Phase 3 ya covid-19 imezua mtata sasa baada ya Rais Kenyatta kuagiza kufungwa(Partial Lockdown) kwa miji/mikoa hii;Nairobi,Machakos, Nakuru, Kajiado na Kiambu, kutokana na ongezeko la maambukizi haya tata.
Sehemu za kuabudu, shule(isipokuwa wale wanaofanya mtihani wa mwisho na medical students), Hotels & Restaurants (take aways only allowed) zimefungwa till further notice from the president's office.
Lockdown itaanza leo usiku kuanzia 8pm-4pm kwa maeneo hayo tajwa. Harusi pia, minimum attendance ni watu 30 pekee.
Tumesisitizwa tujikinge vile ipasavyo kwa kuvaa barakoa vizuri, kunawa mikono kwa sabuni na utumizi wa sanitizer zinazofaa.

President Uhuru Kenyatta announces new Covid-19 measures :
1. Cessation of movement by road, rail and air in and out of the counties of Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos, Kiambu and Nakuru till further notice.
2. No in-person meetings of any kind in the counties of Nairobi, Machakos, Kajiado, Kiambu and Nakuru till further notice.
3. Parliament asked to go on recess as well as the regional Houses mentioned above.
4. Curfew to begin at 8pm and end at 4am in the counties of Nairobi, Nakuru, Machakos, Kiambu and Kajiado.
Other counties curfew will go on as currently is, being from 10pm to 4am.
5. Government vacates all curfew passes until a review by the Ministry of Interior is done.
6. In-person worship in Nairobi, Nakuru, Machakos, Kiambu, and Kajiado till further notice.
Other counties to be allowed in person religious engagements but to adhere to the one third rule of capacity of religious institutions.
7. Bars are suspended from operating in Nairobi, Nakuru, Machakos, Kiambu and Kajiado. Restaurants and eateries in the said counties shall provide takeaway services only and are banned from selling alcohol.
8. Schools, including universities closed. No further in-person learning.
9. All employees of private and government bodies are directed to have employees working from home until further notice, except those where services cannot be provided remotely.
10. All hospitals asked to limit number of visitors to patients to just one per patient.
11. All permitted gatherings to have not more than 50 people. Funerals to be conducted within 72 hours of confirmation of death with just a total of 50 people.
Marriage other similar events to have a total of 30 people.
12. Those above 58 to be vaccinated in first phase.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has banned movement into and out of Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos, Kiambu and Nakuru Counties following a spike in the number of COVID-19 infections in the five regions.
The cessation of movement into and out of the five counties takes effect on Saturday, March 27, 2021 until further notice.
Addressing the Nation on the COVID-19 situation in the country, President Kenyatta said Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos, Kiambu and Nakuru have been declared disease infected areas, noting that they account for 70 percent of the country’s total infections.
“Fully conscious that 70% of Kenya’s COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the counties of Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos, Kiambu and Nakuru, these counties are individually and collectively declared a disease infected area. There shall be a cessation of all movement by road, rail or air into and out of the disease infected area comprising of the counties of Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos, Kiambu and Nakuru effective midnight tonight until otherwise notified,” said the Head of State.

Bar operations and sale of alcohol in restaurants has also been suspended in the five counties until further notice.
The President also reviewed the curfew hours in the five counties, announcing that it shall begin from 8pm and end at 4am in Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos, Kiambu and Nakuru effective Saturday, March 27.
In the other 42 counties curfew hours shall remain as is currently in place; 10pm to 4am.
President Kenyatta directed the Ministry of Interior to review the current protocols for reissuance of curfew passes and exemptions.
“In light of the abuse of curfew passes and exemptions and its role in the steep increase in infections, The Ministry of Interior and Co-ordination of National Government jointly with the Ministry of Health are directed to immediately review the protocols for reissuance of curfew passes and exemptions. In that regard, in the intervening period all passes issued are hereby vacated,” he said.
