If your Subaru announces its arrival with a loud "pop... bang... bang!", police in the Ssezibwa Region may soon be waiting for you.

Authorities have launched an operation targeting Subaru vehicles fitted with modified exhaust systems following complaints from residents of Lugazi Municipality in Buikwe District, who say the late-night noise has been robbing them of their sleep.

Do Subaru cars make this much noise in Tanzania too, or it's uniquely in Uganda?​
 
Owners/drivers of such vehicles are hooligans.

The solution is to impose steep fines on the offenders with the option to confiscate the vehicles upon failure to pay

But also, yes it's pollution but then these cars are designed for this.
