If you are in Tanzania, the fact that NADEX does not offer it's services in Tanzania is severely limiting.

But generally I use a range of technical indicators, mostly Moving Averages Convergence/ Divergence indicators to identify trends. I try to identify trends for contracts that are as close to 50/50 risk as possible, I use smart money management to not expose more than 20% of my portfolio at a time, and I take time off from trading when I feel the market is overpriced or unpredictable. I try to not break these rules. Up to now I have made as much as $5,200 in a single day following these principles.This is by being rather conservative. I take profit from my portfolio and back into my checking account to avoid the tempttion of trading on a huge trade and losing big.As my capital grow, and as I retain more on my portfolio, I hope to be able to get profits of $10,000 and more a day later this year. That is my goal.

I plan to build my comfort level enough to be able to do trading for a living if needed - right now my job allows me to work and trade.

I would like to spoil my family more and help some deserving children in need, especially orphanages in Tanzania.

Some of the basic principles I follow.

1. Do not put in your trading portfolio money you are not willing to lose if all your trades go bad.

2. Do not put in your portfolio money that is needed for other obligations (rent, school fees, food etc) as trades can go either way.

3. After considering 1 and 2 above, do not trade all your capital on one trade however good it seems.Leave some to fall back on. The ratio will depend on your appetite and the market, I generally expose about 20% or less of my portfolio at any time.

4. Identify a risk/ reward ratio that is statistically viable. I used to trade on a 90% reward ratio, only to realize that, if 9 of these go successfully and only one goes wrong, the one that goes wrong will wipe all the gains from the 9 that went well. So I sghifted to around 50%, with few exceptions depending on market sentiments.

5. Keep an ear out for the economic calendar.It could be the difference between your prositions dropping like rock or shooting like a rocket.

6. Identify your style, specialty and timeline appetite. I tend to not hold contracts for long as I am not yet confident with the underlying animus of the market ecosystem. Special events that are predictable like the Fed announcement this week may entice me to hold an asset for more than 18 hours.

7. Familiarize yourself with the basics, the lingo, the tech analysis, the charts etc. The more advanced things even professionals do not know enough, so don't feel bad if you don't even as you strive to learn.

8. Trade with a purpose. What do you want to do once you become successful? If you don't have a purpose, trading is meaningless.

9.Give back. It does not have to be money - at least in this early stage. One can give back by simply being an inspiring story, sharing strategies, etc.

10. To close with a broader philosophical point.Knowledge economy is where the world is going. All this fight about mines and makinika is important as the minerals are ours, but without an understanding of the knowledge economy we can't even control prices. So read books, blogs, watch videos, discuss here etc.Build your knowledge base and you will succeed.

Easy way to proof your authenticity: - register with MyFXbook let them authenticates all your trades, then make them public and provide a link. Or register with www.etoro.com so they show everybody percentage of your profit over the last 12 months and their profit and loss accounts.

Another is to make live calls. Live calls speak for themselves. It means you say what you are going to trade tomorrow,right now, today, what are your set up, your reasons, graphs/ charts, stop loss, take profit etc well in advance. And you do that at least for six month to prove that you can make profit consistently over long period of time.

All genuine traders should be authenticated by independent organisation.

Those who want to lead others should be straight, truthful and provide others naive people with real dose of reality and truth. The really chance of success in this game which is like 5% for new traders, and prepare them to deal with emotions anguish and massive losses.

Let them make up their own mind knowing full facts, all the facts. Let them know their chance of success and their chance of failure.

For every 100 people, 5 will be successful, i personally think this is optimistic figure, If Americans, British, Germans, French, Australian and other advanced countries new traders can't make it, what are chance of Tanzanians in Tanzania facing with many obstacles and disadvantages. I like to regularly clean up my portfolio and start afresh to avoid losing big on an impulse trade.

This is also a money management rule with emphasis on building skills by starting small (relatively so, my small is someone else's big) and building my portfolio, so that even if I lose, my real money (as opposed to accumulated profit) will be small.

Over the last 2 or so week, I took my portfolio from the initial deposit of 1,700 and up until the day before yesterday I had taken that to $9870.

I just cleaned up my portfolio with a profit of about $8170 yesterday. I am waiting for the banking process to clear either, probably early next week.

All this trading futures, on NADEX, forex and indices.

I could have made more, but I chose to err on the side of lowering my risks and capital preservation.

It wasn't all an uphill trend, I backslided a bit when I started,but due to some baked in strategic trading patterns, I was able to not only bounce back from my losses, but triump tremendously for someone who is not a Greenwhich blueblood with a legacy Harvard chair and a Goldman Sachs pedigree.

$8170 profit in about 2 weeks from an initial investment of 1700. Nothing to sneeze at.

That is a 580% increase in 2 weeks.

And that's not even my best 2 weeks, I have previously made just over $5000 in one day!

Granted, this is not easy.It takes much in terms of studying the market and nerves of steel, but it can be done.

I just did it again in the last 2 weeks. I am taking a little break and I will probably start again sometime next week.

Forex (4X) Winners and losers.

Try to truthfully and honestly to yourself assess if there isn't an easier, better way to earn money. Trading takes many years to master and become proficiency, and you will have to pay a lot of tuition fee for the privilege (meaning losing a lot of money). The income is never guarantee and benefits to society is zero.

This important resource (money) could be better invested elsewhere. For example in Kilimo, biashara, ufugaji, education. Trading 4X is the hardest ever path to earn easy money.

I often wonder if all people who are excited about 4X get together and invest in real, serious projects , with this level of excitement, exuberance, cooperation, energy, confidence and enthusiasm what will happen to our country, our youth and our society.

For example 100 or 500 people get together and decide start businesses. e.g like getting stuff from China in containers and sell in Tanzania, Advertise and sell Tanzanian products worldwide like in Alibaba, invest in Tanzania in thing daladala, buses, trucks, tractors, Pikipiki, Bajaji, taxis, tourism business, ujenzi and property business (buy, build or renovate products and either rent or sell for profit), engage in kilimo using sophisticated method like irrigation systems, tractors, good seeds and fertilizers and best practise. This is what people in countries like Israel, India, China do.

If we combine our brain powers, our skills, our talents, gifts, resources and willingness to work together for benefits of individual, a team and our country wonderful things can and would be accomplished. Instead of selling / pursuing 4X pipedream.

This money which is "invested" ll mostly likely never come back to Tanzania. It will be exported to mainly UK and America ( millions of USD, if 2000 people invest 500 usd each that is 1 millions USD) and many so called traders will lost all the capital once, twice or three times before a pen drop.

What if 100 people get together and started something each contributing 250,000 tshs or more of what they are willing to invest in 4X? What would happens? How many jobs would have been created, how about consistent income? improve our society?

Most of big institutions and traders make around 40%return a year. Using millions and billions of dollars. Some people start with, $100, $200 expecting to make a fortune. It is possible but highly unlikely. Miracle do indeed happens but that is less than 99% of times.

Survivorship bias:- We are likely to hear a lots of stories of people making a killing than hearing about people losing everything, commit suicide, suffer from depression, mental illness and stress, because the people who lost everything normally they don't talk about their losses and difficulties in public. It is their family who have to face the consequences in private.

The few who make money are sure to let everyone know about it, blow their trumpet and shout from rooftop and thus create a sort of illusion (intentionally or unintentionally) that anyone can do what they did/do. I don't think this is right approach to take, people should be told how difficult this game is. Probability and experience tell us 1 in 20 or 15 out 300 new traders will at least break even or make any money at all. It means 285 will fails. These facts should be made clear well in advance before anybody invest in any courses.

It should made clear that income is not regular, one day you make money and next ten not make any money or lose a lot of money. This is why you need at least another income and some decent savings for rainy days.

Someone who has little experience in trading wants to get involved because everyone else is doing it, crowd mentality, to be one of the boys. Because it prestigious, trendy and it sound elegant is sure to get burned.

This is zero sum game. If one win another must lose. Actually it is negative zero sum game for majority of new and retail traders if you include / factor in spreads, commission and other costs.

If you win, your profits have to come from someone else losing. Ask yourself between governments, huge corporations and institutions, professional traders, bucket shops, and little you. Who is likely to be on losing side? Contributing to their profit?

I am not discouraging or encouraging anybody to do this 4X business. I am simply stating the facts, reality of it all. If you have any brain at you know what to do, don't get involved, save yourself time, money and emotional distress. But you have free will to decide what you want to do.

Remember to ask for live, real time calls / trades over time from Gurus, they should be able, willing and eager to do it since they are confident in their methods. They should be able to back up their ideas with live real time price actions.

It is important not to let blind lead another blind. It is a little bit unfair, unjust and unkind for the blind who is following behind another blind not knowing he is also a blind. Some people don't have a clue about Forex but want to take money from others through misinformation and outright lies basically not offering full disclosure of risks involved and ability to make money at all over decent period of time.

Go for it if you want to do it, but check it out for yourself, be prepared, Get all your ammunitions, weapons and shields ready, make no mistake you are going to the war, serious war with people, brokers and institutions who want to take your money.

Forex is a business that can be studied and perfected to a high degree of accuracy. The risks are known upfront and can be baked into the strategy. As I pointed out above, I started with $1700 and initially lose some money, but eventually, due to strategic planning, in two weeks, I ended up with just under $10,000. And that us nerely because I chose to be conservative. Fir example, had I chosen to invwst the $10,000 on the Dow Jones on Thursday and Friday, days on which indicators were showing a market turning up, I could have ended up with anything from $20,000 to 30,000 depending on my risk appetite.

The udea is to start small, make a lot of profit and employ a good ratio of ambition based on the profit as well as good money management skills.

I despise fake pastors. I go with cold tangible facts.

This business is not limited to fake pastors. If someone is tell8ng you this is easy money, or guaranteed money, then yes, that us selling false hope. Markets turn, sonetumes wildly in a short span of time. But everyine I see is prefacing their platforms with plenty of caveats.

So please, some nuance.

Easier way to earn money?

Tell me how to get a 580% return in 2 weeks as illustrated above and I will listen.

Also, I disagree with the notion that Firex trade is not productive. Apart from the fact that I can use the money gained to fund any project I want, mass participation in Firex helps regulate the market and give currencues their true value as floated by the principles of supply and demand, as opposed to fixed currency prices set by a few individuals or banks.

You just have to know what you are doing and do your homework and all the due diligence verification.
