Former Aruu County MP Odonga Otto broke down in tears during a live broadcast on Next Radio's The Big Talk on Saturday morning as he made an emotional appeal for the whereabouts of former Ethics and Integrity Minister Miria Matembe, whose family says they have been unable to reach her following a reported security operation at her home.

Speaking to host Canary Mugume, Otto struggled to contain his emotions, repeatedly asking, "Where is Miria Matembe? What has happened to her?"
The veteran politician, known for his outspoken views, paused several times as tears streamed down his face while speaking about his longtime friend and fellow democracy advocate.

Matembe's family says they have not heard from her since security operatives reportedly raided her home in Luzira earlier this week. According to relatives, armed personnel searched the residence, but Matembe was not at home at the time. They say she has not been seen or contacted since, raising fears about her safety.

The reported disappearance has sparked concern among opposition leaders, human rights activists, and members of the public, who are demanding that security agencies disclose Matembe's whereabouts if she is in custody or assist in establishing what happened to her.

As of Saturday, there had been no official statement from security agencies regarding Matembe's whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding the reported operation at her home.
