Nyerere Against Islam in Zanzibar and Tanganyika

Mkuu kejeli km hizo zisikukatishe tamaa kwani kujitambua kwetu na kukataa kwetu kuendelea kudunishwa, kupuuzwa na kudharirishwa ni pigo kwao waliozoea kubebwa. Hivi sasa hakuna mwenye akili asiyefahamu kuwa manamba wa mashamba ya mkonge ya Tanga ndio walioandaliwa na nyerere, kuvamia zanzibar, kufanya mauaji ya kimbari na kisha kupindua dola.Kisa kudhibiti kuenea kwa uislam afrika mashariki na kukuza ustawi wa ukristo hususan wa kikatoliki.

1. Je, Abdurahaman alikusudia nini? na ni kweli au si kweli aliyasema maneno hayo?

2. Kwa vile umesema Mapinduzi ni pandikizi la Mwalimu Nyerere lililoanzia Kipumbwi hadi siku ''makomredi walipoingia na kumkuta mwali keshaenda kwa bwana'' na kwa ukweli kuwa takriban miaka 48 Zanzibar imekuwa inasherehekea mapinduzi kama itakavyokuwa jumamosi ya Jan 12 2013

a) Ungepata nafasi ya kuongea na WZNZ ungewaambia nini kuhusu siku hiyo kwa upande wa historia uijauayo?

Kama hujui mambo ya ZNZ unapata wapi ushahidi wa kumshambulia Nyerere kuwa kinara na mapinduzi hali ikikan kuwa hayakufanywa na WZNZ?

Nimekuuliza akina Mwinyi, Jumbe, Nasor Moyo na wengine wapo, je ni vibaraka huna jibu.
Nimekuuliza endapo WZN wanapaswa kuyakana mapinduzi, huna jibu.
Sasa kwanini umshambulie Nyerere kwa kusema alipeleka wamakonde kufanya mauaji?

Kinachokuponza Mzee saidi ni kutoa maandiko yenye kulenga kujenga chuki huku ukijua kuwa ima si ukweli au unapindisha ukweli.

Katika Uislam kuna aya ya mwenyezi mungu inayozungumzia juu ya unafiki na manafiki.
Epusha ndimi na kalam yako isije kuwa ni tatizo siku zijazo.

Ahmed Rajab ambaye ana unasaba na Waarab unaosema wameuawa amekana kama walivyokana wanazuoni wengine.
Kuaminisha umma kuhusu ubaya wa Nyerere huku ukishindwa kutamka neno kwa Karume, Mwinyi, Jumbe, Moyo na wanamapinduzi wengine ni double standard ya hali ya juu sana.

Unafahamu kuwa kuwanasabisha na Nyerere utakuwa umekosa lengo lako la kumshambulia Nyerere na ukristo.
Unafahamu namna gani utakavyowaudhi WZN pale utakaposema mapinduzi si halali.
Umebaki kujificha katika maneno ambayo hayalingani na hadhi ya kile unachojisifia nacho.

Hivi Mzee Said, kwani ukiandika historia bila kutumbukiza mbegu za chuki dhidi ya dini nyingine na hasa Nyerere historia hiyo haikamiliki?

Uthibitisho wa Njama Dhidi ya Uislam

Hivi sasa kuna vitabu viwili vilivyoandikwa na Wakristo wenyewe vinavyothibitisha kuwa Wakristo wametumia nyadhifa zao katika serikali kuuhujumu Uislam na Waislam.

Jan P van Bergen katika kitabu chake, ''Development and Religion in Tanzania,'' (1981) [1] ametoboa siri kuhusu uadui aliokuwa nao Rais Mstaafu, Nyerere dhidi ya Uislam na Waislam.

Kitabu kinaeleza kwa ufasaha jinsi Nyerere wakati alipokuwa madarakani alivyokuwa akifanya mikutano ya siri na viongozi wa Kanisa kuweka mikakati ya kuupa nguvu Ukristo.

Katika mikutano hiyo Nyerere aliwahakikishia viongozi wa Kanisa kuwa anaaunga mkono Ukristo. Kitabu hicho kinaeleza jinsi Nyerere alivyotimiza ahadi yake hiyo kwa Kanisa kwa kuhakikisha kuwa anawapa Wakristo nafasi za juu katika serikali na chama.

Kitabu hiki kilikuwa kinauzwa Catholic Bookshop, Dar es Salaam. Lakini ilipokuja kudhihirikia Kanisa kuwa kitabu hiki kilikuwa kinatoa habari nyeti na siri za Kanisa kuhusu njama dhidi ya Waislam, kwa haraka sana kikaacha kuuzwa. [1]

Hadi hivi sasa kitabu hicho ni marufuku kuletwa tena Tanzania.
Kitabu cha pili ni cha Dr John C. Sivalon, ''Kanisa Katoliki na Siasa ya Tanzania Bara 1953 Hadi 1985'' (1992). [1]

Kitabu hiki kinaeleza njama ndani ya serikali kuuhujumu Uislam. Sivalon anafichua kuwa kuanzia mwaka 1961 baada ya Tanganyika kupata uhuru, Kanisa lilikuwa na hofu mbili. Hofu ya kwanza ilikuwa umoja wa madhehebu za Kiislam kati ya Sunni, Bohora, Ismailia na Ithnasheri. Hofu ya pili ilikuwa kuhamishwa kwa makao makuu ya EAMWS kutoka Mombasa kuja Dar es Salaam.

Kanisa lilikuwa linahofu kuwa mali walizokuwanazo Waasia Waislam zikitiwa katika harakati za Waislam ambao walikuwa na nguvu kubwa katika uwanja wa siasa zitaathiri maslahi ya Ukristo katika Afrika ya Mashariki. Kwa ajili hii Kanisa likatanganza kuwa Uislam ni adui wake na ikaanza mikakati ya hujma dhidi ya Uislam ili kuudhoofisha. [1]

Kuna kazi mbili zilizoandikwa na Waislam kuhusu uhusiano baina ya serikali na Waislam. Kazi ya kwanza ni tasnifu ya Kiwanuka, ''The Politics of Islam in Bukoba District'' (1973); [1] kazi ya pili ni makala ya utafiti ''Islam and Politics in Tanzania'' (1989) [1] iliyoandikwana mwandishi wa kitabu hiki.

Ilikuwa baada ya kusoma tasnifu ya Kiwanuka na kuona jinsi ukweli wa kuvunjwa kwa EAMWS kulivyopoteshwa ndipo kama Muislam na kama ada ya Uislam inavyodai kuwa pande mbili za mgogoro zote lazima zisikilizwe, ndipo nilipoamua kufanya utafiti na kuandika tatizo lile kwa mtazamo wa Waislam.

Ukweli ambao kwa miongo miwili ulizuiwa usifahamike kwa Waislam.

Wasomi maarufu katika Historia ya Afrika John Illife (Cambridge University) na Jonathon Glassman (Northwestern University) walikifanyia review ndani ya Cambridge Journal of African History.

Mwaka 2011 nilialikwa University of Iowa na Northwestern ambako nilifanya mihadhara kuhusu kitabu changu.

Nilialikwa Ujerumani vilevile Zentrum Moderner Orient (ZMO) Berlin ambako nilitoa muhadhara pia.

Muslims are now organising nationwide mass rallies which openly and in live broadcasts denounce the church, criticise the government and church agents within the ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and the Parliament for oppressing Muslims.

Seemingly derogatory words like "pandikizi" (singular) and "mapandikizi" (plural) meaning "turncoats;" or the new coined word "Mfumo Kristo" roughly meaning "Christian dominance" are now part of the Muslim and Swahili vocabulary. These analogies are used freely in the Muslim media and among Muslims in every day conversation.

But what usually thrills Muslims and utterly significant showing that times have changed is when in the rallies and in normal discussion Muslims refer to Nyerere hitherto known respectfully as "Baba wa Taifa" as "Baba wa Kanisa," meaning "Church Elder."[1]

The move by the Catholic Church to make him a saint has not helped matters. More so it proves all the allegations levelled against Nyerere that he never was a nationalist but a Catholic zealot.


[1]The late Prof. Haroub Othman after reading Sheikh Ali Muhsin's book Conflict and Harmony in Zanzibar and the writer's book The Life and Times of Abdulwahid Sykes 1924 -1968 The Untold Story of the Muslim Struggle Against British Colonialism in Tanganyika, Minerva Press, London 1998 and having come across hitherto unknown information on Nyerere was devastated because he was a great admirer of Nyerere as a patriot and a nationalist. The two books had painted him differently. Prof. Haroub confronted Nyerere and told him that the allegations in those two works have tarnished his image and he advised him to respond to them. Nyerere never did. Christian lecturers at Dar es Salaam University are discouraging students from making references to those two books. Dr. Harith Ghassany's book Kwaheri Ukoloni Kwaheri Uhuru, has also come up with more information on Nyerere hitherto unknown in the Zanzibar Revolution and the bloodbath which followed.

Mwaka 2011 nilialikwa University of Iowa na Northwestern ambako nilifanya mihadhara kuhusu kitabu changu.

Nilialikwa Ujerumani vilevile Zentrum Moderner Orient (ZMO) Berlin ambako nilitoa muhadhara pia.

Mihadhara ni kawaida ndugu yangu. Hawaangalii ukweli, hata kama ni porojo, ngano/hekaya wanachojali ni mtiririko na ethics za uandishi. Hata sayansi ambayo lazima uprove bado wakati mwingine wanachemsha sembuse siasa/historia! Vinginevyo basi ni kimsahafu fulani!
 

Uthibitisho wa Njama Dhidi ya Uislam

Hivi sasa kuna vitabu viwili vilivyoandikwa na Wakristo wenyewe vinavyothibitisha kuwa Wakristo wametumia nyadhifa zao katika serikali kuuhujumu Uislam na Waislam.

Jan P van Bergen katika kitabu chake, ''Development and Religion in Tanzania,'' (1981) [1] ametoboa siri kuhusu uadui aliokuwa nao Rais Mstaafu, Nyerere dhidi ya Uislam na Waislam.

Kitabu kinaeleza kwa ufasaha jinsi Nyerere wakati alipokuwa madarakani alivyokuwa akifanya mikutano ya siri na viongozi wa Kanisa kuweka mikakati ya kuupa nguvu Ukristo.

Katika mikutano hiyo Nyerere aliwahakikishia viongozi wa Kanisa kuwa anaaunga mkono Ukristo. Kitabu hicho kinaeleza jinsi Nyerere alivyotimiza ahadi yake hiyo kwa Kanisa kwa kuhakikisha kuwa anawapa Wakristo nafasi za juu katika serikali na chama.

Kitabu hiki kilikuwa kinauzwa Catholic Bookshop, Dar es Salaam. Lakini ilipokuja kudhihirikia Kanisa kuwa kitabu hiki kilikuwa kinatoa habari nyeti na siri za Kanisa kuhusu njama dhidi ya Waislam, kwa haraka sana kikaacha kuuzwa. [1]



Hadi hivi sasa kitabu hicho ni marufuku kuletwa tena Tanzania.
Kitabu cha pili ni cha Dr John C. Sivalon, ''Kanisa Katoliki na Siasa ya Tanzania Bara 1953 Hadi 1985'' (1992). [1]

Kitabu hiki kinaeleza njama ndani ya serikali kuuhujumu Uislam. Sivalon anafichua kuwa kuanzia mwaka 1961 baada ya Tanganyika kupata uhuru, Kanisa lilikuwa na hofu mbili. Hofu ya kwanza ilikuwa umoja wa madhehebu za Kiislam kati ya Sunni, Bohora, Ismailia na Ithnasheri. Hofu ya pili ilikuwa kuhamishwa kwa makao makuu ya EAMWS kutoka Mombasa kuja Dar es Salaam.

Kanisa lilikuwa linahofu kuwa mali walizokuwanazo Waasia Waislam zikitiwa katika harakati za Waislam ambao walikuwa na nguvu kubwa katika uwanja wa siasa zitaathiri maslahi ya Ukristo katika Afrika ya Mashariki. Kwa ajili hii Kanisa likatanganza kuwa Uislam ni adui wake na ikaanza mikakati ya hujma dhidi ya Uislam ili kuudhoofisha. [1]

Kuna kazi mbili zilizoandikwa na Waislam kuhusu uhusiano baina ya serikali na Waislam. Kazi ya kwanza ni tasnifu ya Kiwanuka, ''The Politics of Islam in Bukoba District'' (1973); [1] kazi ya pili ni makala ya utafiti ''Islam and Politics in Tanzania'' (1989) [1] iliyoandikwana mwandishi wa kitabu hiki.

Ilikuwa baada ya kusoma tasnifu ya Kiwanuka na kuona jinsi ukweli wa kuvunjwa kwa EAMWS kulivyopoteshwa ndipo kama Muislam na kama ada ya Uislam inavyodai kuwa pande mbili za mgogoro zote lazima zisikilizwe, ndipo nilipoamua kufanya utafiti na kuandika tatizo lile kwa mtazamo wa Waislam.

Ukweli ambao kwa miongo miwili ulizuiwa usifahamike kwa Waislam.

The new generation of Muslims no longer believe in the official history of TANU and the propaganda that it was Nyerere who single handed defeated the British.

Muslims instead are honouring the forgotten heroes of independence movement and in so doing invoking emotions particularly in the new generation to stand up against oppression as their forefathers had done against Germans and the British.

Muslim heroes of the Maji Maji War like Suleiman Mamba, Ali Songea Mbano,[1] and Muslim nationalists like Abdulwahid [2] and Ally Sykes,[3] Dossa Aziz, Sheikh Hassan bin Amir,[4] Sheikh Suleiman Takadir, Sheikh Yusuf Badi, Bibi Titi Mohamed,[5] Bibi Tatu bint Mzee, Bilali Rehani Waikela,[6] Ali Migeyo[7] and others are now part of nationalist history which was suppressed for many years.[8]

A documentary of his political life has been made and although not officially recognized as a patriot Muslims now consider him as one of the heroes of the independence movement. All Muslim symbols in Maji Maji War against Germans have been obliterated in the Maji Maji Museum.
