The National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate, Paddy Kisembo, has been declared the duly elected LC5 Chairperson for Kikuube District after securing a decisive victory in the district chairperson election.

Kikuube Electoral District Returning Officer Emmanuel Twine announced the results on Friday evening, declaring Kisembo the winner after he garnered the highest number of valid votes cast.

According to the official results, Kisembo polled 26,612 votes, comfortably defeating his closest challenger, Fenekansi Timanyire of the National Unity Platform (NUP), who received 8,712 votes.

Twine declared Kisembo the duly elected LC5 Chairperson in accordance with the electoral laws after tallying and verifying the results from across the district.

Kisembo's victory hands the NRM control of the Kikuube District chairperson seat and adds to the party's tally in the ongoing local government elections.
