No single Woman TRA Management!

The argument over minority representation or gender balance haijaanza Tanzania na itaendelea kwa miaka mingi nchini kwetu.
Nadhani tukizungumzia 'affirmative action' ni kitu kizuri as long as it provides opportunities and does not reward someone just because they belong to a certain gender, class or race.
Tatizo la 'affirmative action' ya JK kwa mfano ilikuwa ni hilo la kulipa fadhila na at the same time kutaka kuonekana eti anawatetea akina mama. Aliyewaweka wananwake big percent to head ministries ni wale ambao walikuwa wananmtandao some exc exception like Mary Nagu, but then hayo mambo ya chama.
On the other hand I am more happy to hear recent c hanges alizofanya kama ile ya kupromote wananwake kuwa wakurugenzi katika Wizara ya Maliasili.
Back to TRA: I think that this profession kama nyingine yoyote ina wafanyakazi wa kike na wa kiume. That has to be reflected in one way or another in the management. Sidhani kama kuna haja ya kuwa 50 -50% that's ludicrous, but the refelction of this should be fair.
Wengine hapo nyuma wamechambua vyema tatizo la elimu etc ambayo inaendelea kuwanyima akina mama nafasi (oportunity), ditto for watu wenye ulemavu.

1. Ndo maana hata mimi sina majibu kwa nini 13 positions (100&#37 ni wanaume TRA. Watu wamesema wanawake wako sehemu zingine na siyo TRA- nakubali. Je kwa nini hawako TRA? Kama ya nafasi 13 za top management hakuna hata mmoja anaqualify? Au kuna mizengwe mingine?

2. Kwani masomo yanayohusiana na TRA- akina mama hawasomi? Ukiniambia Uhandisi ningesema idadi ya graduates ni kidogo. Ila katka TRA- kuna nafasi lukuki- Economics, Administration, Accounting, Finance e.t.c.
 
hivi huko TRA kuna nini? mbona wanawake wako kwenye management za mamlaka nyingine kama elimu,BOT,mawasiliano,usafiri wa anga etc etc.

pia tuwe wakweli jamani. wanawake ni wachache kulinganisha na wanaume ktk vitivo vya Sayansi,Engineering,Biashara,Uchumi...

NB:
kuwepo ktk management ni lazima uwe umepanda ngazi za kiutawala. sasa wengi wa walioko kwenye management ya TRA wana miaka 50 kuendelea. sasa wanawake wangapi walisoma B.Com au Econ' about 25years ago?

Something else, people, we need to remember that, kuwa kwenye Management team/ Board of directors ya e.g TRA, sio kwamba mi lazima uwe umesoma maswala yanayohusu TRA or BCom for that matter.

mtoa mada ametoa scenario moja ni kama sampling kuwa jamani TRA haina top dfemale representation, so lets stick to that is it fair or? period. Then we can use this sample to put a comparison to other institue.

In my own view tunaagalia hili suala la affirmative actions in a shortcut. Tuanzie chini kuwaempower wamama/wadada with education and practical skills. Only with that they can be competetive.

Suala la viti maalumu nalipinga kwa nguvu zote. limeshapitwa na wakati. Kina mama waende majimboni wamwage sera ndio wachaguliwe.

tatu: creating awareness kwa hao walio kwenye ngazi za juu kuwa women can do it. Unajua kunapokuwa na selection ya kazi unaweza kuta kuna CV za kinamama zimaqualify ila waajiri wanajiumauma eti kweli tukimweka dada hapa ataweza??? hawa ni watu ambao mama lao anawasema wamezaliwa na "gender insensitivity" ambao kama wana kinyaa hivi na other gender. It may be women or men,not necearirly men.
Niwewahi kuhudhuria interviews na baadaye kunakuwa na evaluation unakuta mwanamama amefaulu kweli sasa hapo ubishano unaanza , aaaah hapa tukimweka mwanamama tutaweza kuwa na madili yetu, si unajua wamama waoga na dhaifu. Sasa kwenye mvutano kama huu kunahitajika wau ambao ni gender sensitive awaconvince members kuwa nao wanaweza kama amepass basi apewe huyo mama.

Kaka Masatu kwenye post yako umesema ubaguzi umeanza mara ukabila,udini then gender. No way my brother huu si ukabila na katu haufanani. na hili likifumbiwa macho madhara ni mabaya.
