Wyre has been nominated for the World Music Awards under the category Worlds Best Male artist. Wyre, who is a Kenyan dancehall artist, has been nominated in the same category as Jay Z, Kanye West, P Diddy, John Legend, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Justin Bieber, John Legend among others. There are over 30 nominees in the same category who are all competing for the ultimate prize, to be recognized as the worlds best male artist. The World Music Awards is an international award that honours the best-selling recording artists from every continent. The awards are presented on sale merits and voting is left to the public who vote online. The world's best-selling recording-artists in each category are determined by an enquiry that is conducted by the organization. The enquiry includes sales figures and record certifications in 2013. The categories awarded during the World Music Awards are Worlds Best Male, Worlds Best Female Artist, Worlds Best Group, Worlds Best Electronic Dance Music Artist, Worlds Best Entertainer of the Year, Worlds Best Live Act, Worlds Best Song, Worlds Best Album and Worlds Best Video.
