Leo ni poster kwa wall, kesho ni WhatsApp status, next week ni another crying mother kwa police station. Lakini for the common mwananchi, hii sio just another headline ni fear ya kila siku.
Video inaonyesha concern growing around the safety of children and vulnerable people in society. Na ukweli ni kwamba, many Kenyan parents wamefika place wanaogopa hata mtoto kucheza nje pekee yake. Wengine hawawezi afford private security, CCTV ama gated communities. Wanaishi na hope tu kwamba mtoto atarudi home akiwa safe.
Kwa ground, watu wengi wanajiuliza: “Mbona cases za watoto kupotea zinaongezeka?” “Na why does it feel like justice huwa slow sana?”
According to reports from Missing Child Kenya, 69 out of 158 child disappearance cases reported in 2025 were still unresolved. Teenagers aged 13–17 formed the biggest number of unresolved cases.
Another report revealed that over 7,000 children disappeared in Kenya between June 2023 and May 2024, translating to almost 17 children reported missing every day.
