Probably because of this?

she said "there is no such thingblike a society..only the individual families".....
kama hakuna society basi ajilipie mwenyewe mazishi lol
Because of politics.

Labda alienda kum enjoy lol
yeye alisema hakuna society...kila mtu kivyake tu
so hao taxpayers hawalipiwi mazishi ya 10 million pounds....
Naomba source, tafadhali.
Margaret Thatcher's funeral will cost around £10m, although we won't know the exact figure - and how much of it is being spent by the state - until afterwards. What else can £10m pay for? Here are some ideas
Grantham Bishop"In a context where there is great ill feeling about her legacy, we have a situation where we seem to be expecting the nation to glorify that with a £10m funeral is asking for trouble. People with extreme views will use it to promote their political views.

Ila kweli inaelekea hakubaliki hata kidogo kwa wengi. Ila malkia amehudhuria!!!
First, what politics?
Second, where are his principles? Because I smell fakerism all over...
Third, her supporters can argue too that she supported the Apartheid regime because of politics. Will that wash? I doubt it.
Hakukubalika kivipi wakati yeye ndiyo longest serving British Prime Minister of the 20th Century and the only woman to have held the office?
She won 3 straight elections, FYI.
The source is not only the Guardian.Fourth, the source is the Guardian. This is perhaps the foremost liberal newspaper in the UK. Need I say more? It's like expecting the New York Times to publish anything favorable to Ronald Reagan or George H. W. Bush
"I think it's important that somebody speaks up about the cost," she told the BBC's Radio Four Today programme. "Ten million when you're cutting disabled people's benefits, I don't think the public understands that."
Of course there is no specific breakdown of the expenses. One, how did they arrive at that figure? Nobody knows - at least there is no specific breakdown of the expenses.
Two, they say "we won't know the exact figure". Well, then they should shut up until they know for sure what they are talking about.
Third, they don't know for sure who is footing the bill. Again, they should shut up until they know for a fact.

BBC, the New York Times and all other media are quoting the same figure.
Shadow Health Minister, Dianne Abbott was quoted giving that same 'estimate' figure when interviewed by the BBC
Of course there is no specific breakdown of the expenses.
You expecting the government to give the breakdown before the funeral?
You cant expect people to protest a month or two after the funeral
It wont have the impact its supposed to have
Besides, the protest is not just about the figure, its more about the audacity of the government to use taxpayers money for Thatcher's funeral
They know very well who is footing the bill.
The government, because its a state funeral
