United are the only Premier League side to still have their 100% record intact, and they’ll be aiming to continue that excellent start to the season here today. Jose Mourinho’s men have looked the real deal since the start of the campaign, comfortably swatting aside West Ham United and Swansea City before working hard to pick up a well-earned victory at home to Leicester City just before the international break.
The Red Devils are yet to let in a single goal - a feat matched only by Huddersfield Town - and have dazzled inside the final third of the pitch. Romelu Lukaku has hit the ground running and already has three league goals to his name, whilst Paul Pogba, unshackled from defensive duties by the signing of Nemanja Matic, is starting to show exactly why United paid so much to bring him back to Old Trafford.
Recent meetings between these two sides haven’t been as clear-cut as expected, with United failing to get the better of Stoke on the last two occasions. Both of those games ended in 1-1 draws, and the last victory to come at the Bet365 actually went the Potters’ way thanks to an impressive 2-0 win on Boxing Day 2015. It’s now nearly four and a half years since United won a league game in this part of Staffordshire.
