Magufuli’s M.O.

Question to you is HOW SHOULD THE STATUSQUO BE DISRUPTED ??SHOW US AND STOP LAMENTING

Lets take part of the constitution of the Economic Freedom Fighters in which President Magufuli is looking at the moment.

The EFF takes new type of economy as the theoretical basis guiding its thinking and development of its political line and in this respect identifies itself as a sufficient driven government machine.

The basic programme of the EFF is the complete overthrow of the neo liberal discrimination against indigenous as well as the bourgeoisie and all other exploiting classes.

It is when you see the establishment of the dictatorship of the people in place of the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie and the triumph of socialism over capitalism.

The ultimate aim of the EFF is the realisation of socialism through people’s power and the establishment of a state that responds to the needs of its people.

Tanzanians now are able to differentiate between the stigma and positives.

It would be useful if the actual politicians and their way of practicing politics, distinguish from practicing politicking of their political parties, were examined to see if it represents a potentially viable opposition to Chama Cha Mapinduzi..

Their style of politics which sort to violence and malpractice is now intolerable.

I beg to differ.

Maghufuli's government is run by its Treasury. The Treasury (Ministry of Finance) is under Dr. Mpango, the only cabinet Minister that can elbow his way into the legislature to fulfil his Scandinavian - style, macro-economic policies.

Maghufuli's government is far from EFF. The mining and extractive industries policy introduced and subsequently passed by his administration and The legislature respectively, does not reflect the EFF's ambition of indigenization, contrary to the popular belief disseminated by both foreign investors and short-sighted local politicians. The policy does not in any way improve the access to "Capital" to the indigenous population rather than cementing the role of small-scale miners as owners of small mines.

I am actually a big fan of his economic policies. They are simply what I have seen in most successful countries in this planet and I can even go further and say, they are the policies followed by the most successful individuals in this planet. Simply put, they are earn more and save more policies. Get as much taxes and save from unnecessary luxuries.

That EFF thang is just another way of creating a "burguosie" class on the back of public treasures and has been the central policies of the Mteis, Mbowes, Mengis, Iddi Simba and the likes. Always trying to equate economic indigenization to social democracy.

I support a strong government which represents the mass in negotiating the terms of exploitation with the ultimate goal of acquiring a sustainably enough chunk of the economy to finance the social welfare of the mass while optimizing the benefits of individual entrepreneurship.

He is the man we need, only if we can fine-tune the legislature which has shown a lack of intellectual capabilities and demonstrated vehemently, partisan politics.

I agree with your point.

The antiquated legislative house need to be revamped through those few who have come to acquire some knowledge about macro economics if not whole knowledge.

Mr president has tried to pull some from other side of argument we see the likes of mama Mgwira and Professor Mkumbo, but the ambition to build the economy of the style they want it needs a lot of efforts and help from all Tanzanians and not just few.

What you're suggesting doesn't make any sense, are you implying that the opposition parties beg him as if he's the king in the pre-colonial era? What the oppositions are doing it's their constitutional rights and they are not asking for favours from him. If magufuli doesn't like to operate in a democratic country then in my opinion he's going to have some rough time ahead. In fact, there are indications suggesting that a significant number of Tanzanians are not impressed by his leadership style and the way things are going at the moment.

As for the 2020 general election I think the race is wide open but, I hope the election will be fair otherwise I can see the country's so called peace stability being tested like never before.

Not on my level!!

Correct.

However, it's through a representative democracy, that people's efforts and help (as you've put it) will be tunneled through policies and their supporting regulations. There has been a habit of enacting complicated policies that are hard to regulate, to finance and even articulate with previous plans and the country's vision.

The result has been a series of presidential decrees trampling enacted legislations simply because of impracticability.
So, there's still a desperate need for a stronger and competent legislature that will translate to a smooth execution of enacted policies and practicability of government plans. Also, it won't hurt if the world sees us as a competent and flexible Nation that you can associate with.

Naunga mkono hoja.

This must be daydreaming! You have lost touch with the grass roots of this country. There’s no quantum leap in democratic evolution. Democracy must systematically evolve with the players at the grass roots.

The ordinary Tanzanians who neither have nor can afford a smartphone (or a computer) in order to have access to social media are nowhere close to the point you’re daydreaming about. The elite group of Tanzanians can be 100% in favor or against a given presidential candidate, but such approval or disapproval doesn’t really alter the outcome of an election, if the ordinary Tanzanians overwhelmingly favor one candidate against the other(s). In other words, the combined votes of the elite group doesn’t matter!

Perhaps he's seen it from previous regimes, that previous leaders were wrongly advised and he doesn't want to go the same route.

But as you've pointed out, I believe he has a very big male ego, 'just like his beloved son', that no one can really advise him as he's served the government for over two decades and none can tell him shyte.

All I know, he'll be re-elected by a landslide victory, though majority won't cast their votes in the ballot box. He's tried to own everything from bunge, national electoral commission, judiciary, military and so he's sure of being re-elected.

However, we Tanzanians are cowards, hypocrites and we like to play double standard. CCM might rule this nation for the next 50yrs.

thank your so vely mach for yor are quotetoin wich I laike ver mach and becourse of many becourses I can andastand your piont of view here about our bereaved president wich I like him ver mach he is vey taph president and oppoisiton want to cry becourse he do wok for Tanzanians tehnk yu so ver mach

we look at these things as if it is a battle between politicians for themselves!. But the fact is the last consumer of the decisions whether stubbonly made or wisely made is WE THE PEOPLE!.
Suppose the opposition is reduced to insignificancy or even utterly eradicated, it is not them who will be affected in a long run, IT IS WE THE PEOPLE.
So I think the good way of handling the national affairs is not to stubbonly oppose whatever the opposotion says, but to take whatever good they say and work on it!, at the end of the day PEOPLE want to see things work!, They are not marvelled at all on the Stubboness of anyone under the sun!
