What is it about Hillary Clinton and British Foreign Secretaries?
First she admitted having a crush on David Miliband when he held the office under the last Labour government, with pictures confirming enough flirting between them to make the description 'special relationship' seem very apt.
But now she is showing a similar level of appreciation for the charms of current Foreign Secretary William Hague after the pair greeted each other at a NATO meeting like a pair of old flames.

Do they all greet each other this way? Is Spain's Foreign Minister Trinidad Jimenez (left) jealous or relieved as Hague kisses Clinton?
The two-day informal meeting in Berlin is being used mainly to thrash out military policy in Libya, but it also has a focus on relationships, mainly how the allies are getting on with Russia, Ukraine and Georgia.
But there is clearly no problem in the relationship between Hague and Clinton, as the Secretary of State puckered up for a continental-style air kiss when they met. Hague's hand rested on her shoulder as they embraced warmly.

Perhaps Hague's distinctive Yorkshire drawl has a hitherto unrealised effect on the ladies, because the balding Foreign Secretary wouldn't usually be considered a political pin-up.
Then again, neither would David Miliband, but that didn't stop Clinton from falling for his enormous brain. Miliband senior was nicknamed 'Brains' by former Labour spin doctor Alastair Campbell for his resemblance to the Thunderbirds character of the same name.

It was also at a NATO meeting, this time in Brussels, that Clinton and Miliband showed their touchy feely relationship in a series of photographs in 2009.
A month before, Clinton had revealed in a magazine interview her unlikely crush on Miliband, some 18 years her junior.
She told Vogue that she liked his accent and added: 'Well, if you saw him it would be a BIG crush.
'I mean, he is so vibrant, vital, attractive, smart. He's really a good guy. And he's so young!'

Milband returned the compliments, saying Mrs Clinton was 'delightful to deal with one on one.
'She's someone who laughs and can tease, and she's got perspective as well,' he added.
But the special relationship between British minsters of foreign affairs and their U.S. counterparts goes back even further than that.
In 2006, Jack Straw and Condoleeza Rice exchanged mutual compliments and she once gave him her bed on an overnight flight to Baghdad - and slept on the floor of the plane.
Clearly, foreign affairs is a friendly business.
