Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen confirmed that 355 people were arrested during the demonstrations. Nairobi recorded the highest number of arrests with 161, followed by Kajiado 123 and Kiambu 36, while 35 arrests were made in other parts of the country.
The government maintained that security officers acted to preserve law and order, while human rights groups raised concerns over road closures, arrests, and restrictions on the right to peaceful assembly.
