Activist Louis Ninsiima has been released after days of uncertainty surrounding his whereabouts, prompting messages of gratitude from supporters who campaigned for his freedom.
Ninsiima was reportedly abducted on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at around 1:00 PM by unidentified plainclothes security operatives at his mother's shop on Kiyembe Lane in Kikuubo, Kampala. His disappearance sparked concern among family members, friends, and fellow activists who demanded information about his whereabouts.
Supporters said that during his detention, Ninsiima was allegedly denied access to both his family and legal counsel. They further claimed that he was being questioned over his association and friendship with fellow activist Praise Aloikin Opoloje.
