Kenya has hit the ground running in the development of the second transport corridor. The Corridor, going by the acronym LAPSSET, the Lamu Port-South Sudan- Ethiopia transport Corridor, is the largest business project in Africa.
The project has entered the tendering stage for the construction of the First three berths that will pave the way for the construction of other berths and other components of the seven component, project.
But the development jeopardizes other similar other corridors proposed in the region.

they are having a wider vision as this plan doesn't end only in Juba but also think of linking Atlantic via Central Africa Republic to Douala, Cameroon

Yes. That's why Lapsset is more viable than the competing proposals and that's why it could kill them off.

Thought we should have a thread with news and progress updates about LAPPSET in one thread.

P.S. wenye wivu (mnajijua), you can post all your envy and frustrations  on this thread as well...

Can you kindly expound the wordings in red? Does someone want to blow up the lappset project? Who would be so against East Africa's progress to such a degree?
