yes it is...funding for the first phase was secured by the president during his tour of Europe

The Lake Turkana Power project will utilize 365 turbines 850 KW each, manufactured by Vestas, for a total power output of 310 MW.

Monday July 18th 2016 the project reached an important milestone as the 100th turbine was installed at Lake Turkana, getting us closer to finalizing installation of the 365 turbine wind park
