RE: INVITATION TO A RETIREMENT PLANNING COURSE

The Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development (IMED) runs
the above course with the aim of developing pertinent skills for preparing
for retirement. The competency-based course is delivered by highly
experienced facilitators, using participatory learning methods. IMED
believes that financial security alone does not guarantee an honorable and
fulfilling retirement life. We take a holistic view of retirement and
encourage retirement planning to start as early as possible in one’s life.
It is however never too late to plan.

We guide participants to recognize their economic and non-economic assets,
liabilities and opportunities as a basis for planning for financial
security and socially fulfilling retirement lives. Participants learn
personal finance skills and choice, development, financing and management
of income generating activities appropriate for retirees. Experienced
retirees share experience and financial institutions present options
available for future retirees’ investments.

The venue is Whitemark Conference Hall, Njilima Street, Ubungo (Behind NBC
Ubungo). The next course is from 26-29th July, 2010. Classes run from 9.00
a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Application deadline is 15th July, 2010. The fee
(tuition, materials, lunch/refreshments) is Tshs 400,000/=.

or from our website. Note that the course can also be tailor made to
groups in English or Kiswahili in which case a group fee is negotiated.
