The Bongo Sun got tips from impeccable sources saying the sad episode took place on October 28 this year at the Port's quarters at Masaki in Dar es Salaam where the PR had been living with her family.
Speaking to The Bongo Sun, a family spokesman who identified himself as George Tibenda said his relative died by fire due to the company refusal to provide service on account that the payment was to be made first before they could do anything.
Tibenda said that Knight Support was informed that there was a house next to their customer's house which was going ablaze and they arrived immediately. However, upon arrival, the fire fighters are said to have surrounded their customer's house while watching Suzan's house burning.
One of Suzan's neighbors attempted to beg them to do something to save Suzan's life but the Knight Support workers refused and demanded him to pay a certain amount of money which he didn't have by the time.
Efforts to persuade the Knight Support guys to put off the fire proved futile calling for neighbors to use sand, water and whatever they could to rescue Suzan's life.
Reports further reveal that a number of neighbors especially women were seen weeping around the area while trying to persuade fire fighters to do something but the guys strictly refused leaving people disbelieving their eyes.
According to another family member, the blaze began when Suzan was out of the house and that she decided to get into fire to rescue her two children Dezirei and Trezon Mziray who had already gone out of the house.
It is said that when she was in the house she heard her children calling her from outside and she answered that she was struggling to find a door because there was a huge smoke in there. "All this time Knight Support did nothing and they stayed there watching until the roof fell on her" said a family member.
Later on, the Municipal fire fighters came and attempted to rescue her but unfortunately she was in a very bad condition due to sustaining severe burns.
In another move relatives of the late Suzan have denied claims that their beloved one had gone in there to rescue some cash she had acquired after she sold her escudo as it was reported by the media, saying she only went in to save her two children.
Our reporter went to knight Support offices where he was told that the responsible persons Mr. Kambi and Mr. David Sutton who are Public Relations Officer and The Director respectively were in Nairobi for official matters.
Most people have condemned the move by Knight Support as a brutal, inhuman and ruthless, one saying they seem to value money rather than people's lives, something said to be dangerous in our country which is endowed with love and compassion towards one another.
The late Suzan's body was sent to her domicile in October 31st this year where she was buried at Kipondoda graveyards. Suzan has left behind two children Trezon and Dezirei Mziray. May God rest her soul in eternal peace.
Amen
