Can anyone shade light on how much money has been allocated to the budget of this two Sister countrys and the difference in terms of how big is there budget and the priorities of each country in terms of money allocated to the development and government expenditure .
Total Kenyan budget for FY 2017/2018 - Kshs 2.6 trn (about $26b if my conversion is correct)
Ksh 640bn set for development expenditure
Ksh 1.3trn set for recurrent expenditure
Ksh 329.3bn allocated to counties
Ksh 18.1bn goes to judiciary
Ksh 36bn taken by parliament
Major highlights
- No more VAT on maize flour and bread
- Hospital equipments will be VAT free too
- Corporate tax for vehicle assemblers reduced to 15% from earlier 30%
- Kenyans earning less than Kshs 13,486 have been exempted from income tax
The finance minister has gone for
- Alcoholics, has increased excise duty
- Gamblers, he has increased betting tax, lottery tax, and gaming tax

Am yet to get full analysis, but only 34% of development budget was released during the FY 2016/2017
